Heartfelt Healing

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Heartfelt Healing is a space where the timeless wisdom of the Qur’an and the authentic teachings of the Prophet ﷺ meet the modern sciences of the mind. With a background in Islamic Studies, Psychology, and Neuroscience, I have always viewed human behaviour, emotions, healing, and growth through an Islamic lens — because Islam offers not only guidance for the soul, but a complete blueprint for the human experience.

This platform brings together what science discovers and what revelation has long affirmed. Through each article and story, Heartfelt Healing aims to translate the complexity of the brain and the theories of psychology into insights anchored in Qur’anic verses and authentic Hadith. It is a journey into understanding why we feel, think, and struggle the way we do — and how Allah has already given us the means to rise, heal, and transform.

I have always been fascinated by science — especially human behaviour and the question of why we do what we do. Majoring in Psychology and Islamic Studies, and later studying neuroscience (the scientific study of the brain, nervous system, and how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours emerge), allowed me to explore all three fields deeply. It revealed where they parallel, where they differ, and where Islam had already spoken truths that scholars and scientists only theorised centuries later. Heartfelt Healing is a project I have carried in my heart for many years, and I am finally ready to share it in the most respectful, sincere, and beneficial way I can. Everything discussed here reflects my own thoughts and research and always remains open to correction. I will strive to source and cite as accurately as possible. May Allah ﷻ accept my efforts, purify my intentions, and guide me through this journey and every part of life.

The name Heartfelt Healing came from a realisation that true healing does not begin in the mind alone. It cannot come solely from intellectual understanding or even physical well-being. Without spiritual healing, the journey remains incomplete. Just as the miracle of neuroplasticity allows the brain to rewire itself — constantly forming new neural connections based on our thoughts, information, actions, and behaviours — perhaps our souls too can be reawakened, reconnected, and even reconstructed into a purer alignment with the One who created us. In this reconnection lies a kind of rebirth. Healing begins as a desire in the heart, and from the heart it unfolds into the mind, the body, and the soul.

So join me on this journey as we delve into the Qur’an, Hadith, and the beauty of our deen — while also learning about ourselves, our minds, and our inner worlds. Together, may we navigate a path to success in this world and everlasting success in the Hereafter.

May Allah guide us, protect our hearts, and keep our tongues, intentions, and actions sincere. Everything written here is offered with humility and care, and I ask Allah to allow only what is true and beneficial to reach you. Whatever is good is from Him alone, and anything incorrect is from my own human shortcoming and remains open to correction.

Ameen.
